OUR CREDENTIALS
What backs the work.
Every claim on this page is something you can check. We don’t post badges we can’t back up.
Idaho Registered Contractor
RCE-6681702
Idaho requires contractors to register with the state. A registration number that begins with RCEis the state’s public record that the business is a registered Idaho contractor. Ours is RCE-6681702 — the same number that appears in our footer and in our business schema.
Insured
We carry general liability insurance covering the work we do on your property. Need a certificate of insurance before we start? Ask and we provide one.
Locally owned
We are based in the Treasure Valley, not a national franchise routing your job through a call center. The crew that quotes the work is the crew that does it.
Free estimates
On-site, in-person, and at no charge. We measure the home and leave you with a written quote — no deposit to get a number.
Workmanship-backed
Our installs are backed by a workmanship warranty handled in-house. Read what the warranty covers →
VERIFY US YOURSELF
How do I verify your Idaho contractor registration?
You can verify any Idaho contractor’s registration — including ours — through the state’s public contractor registration search, maintained by the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (the agency that oversees the Idaho Contractors Board).
To check ours:
- 1Open Idaho’s public contractor registration search (operated by the Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses).
- 2Search by registration number RCE-6681702 or by our business name, Boise Gutter Guards.
- 3Confirm the registration is active and the name matches the business you’re hiring.
WHERE TO LOOK IT UP
Idaho’s contractor registrations are public record under the Idaho Contractor Registration Act, administered by the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL).
Search the web for “Idaho DOPL contractor registration search,” open the official Idaho.gov result, and look up registration number RCE-6681702 or our business name, Boise Gutter Guards. The record shows whether the registration is active and who it belongs to.
INSURANCE
Covered work, on your property.
Boise Gutter Guards carries general liability insurance for the work we perform. That coverage exists to protect your property in the event of an incident during the job — it’s a baseline you should expect from any contractor you let work on your home.
Some homeowners (and most HOAs and property managers) want a certificate of insurance on file before work begins. We’re glad to provide one — just ask when you book.
PERMITS & CODE
Do gutters need a permit?
For standard gutter replacement and gutter guard installation on an existing home in the Treasure Valley, a building permit is generally not required. Swapping or adding gutters and guards is exterior maintenance, not structural work.
Permit rules can vary by jurisdiction and by the scope of the project. If a job involves structural changes — for example, fascia rebuilds or work that touches the roof structure — we confirm requirements with the local building department before we start, so nothing about your project is a surprise to the city or to you.
