URGENT SIGNS

When to call us right now.

These four scenarios get triaged ahead of routine estimates. If any of them describe your situation, do not wait for the next storm.

Water dumping above a door or window

Overflow at this volume soaks fascia, casing, and the framing behind your siding. Every storm makes it worse. Call now — this one is not a wait-until-Monday problem.

Ice dam actively forming

If you can see ice building at the eave during a freeze-thaw cycle, water is backing up under the shingles. Removing the dam is a different trade, but we can address the gutter blockage feeding it.

A section of gutter pulled away from the fascia

Hangers fail in wind events and under heavy snow load. A dangling section is a fall risk and stops draining at the next storm. We can re-secure or temporarily remove it until a full repair.

Downspout dumping at the foundation

A disconnected or crushed downspout puts hundreds of gallons against your foundation in a single storm. Even one season of this causes basement water issues. Quick fix, urgent timing.

HONEST EXPECTATIONS

Same-day vs. scheduled — what is actually realistic.

Anyone advertising “24/7 same-day” without conditions is either a national lead-gen site or padding their price. Here is what we can actually deliver on the timeline — and what gets queued.

Same-day (rare, but possible)

If you call before noon, you are inside our normal route, and a crew has open capacity, we can occasionally turn a same-day visit. Most realistic for downspout reattachments, small leak fixes, and temporary tarp / re-secure work.

Same-week (3–5 days — most common)

This is what most urgent calls get. We do a quick phone triage, schedule the visit, and order any non-stock parts (color-matched gutter, custom miters) to arrive by the visit day so it gets fixed in one trip.

Storm backlog (7–14 days)

After hail or major wind events, the entire Treasure Valley calls every gutter contractor in the same week. We do not lie about timing — if we are 10 days out, we will tell you that on the first call.

HOMEOWNER TRIAGE

What to do until we arrive.

Four things you can do today that will limit damage and protect any insurance claim you end up filing.

  1. Cover the immediate damage

If water is entering the house, a tarp over the affected exterior area buys you time. Heavy-duty plastic sheeting and a few furring strips work better than blue tarps in wind.

  2. Redirect downspouts

If a downspout has come apart, even a 5-foot length of flex extension pointed away from the foundation cuts most of the damage. Hardware-store fix, takes 10 minutes.

  3. Document everything before you touch it

Photos of the failure point, the water trail, and the surrounding damage — before you tarp, before you move anything. This protects you if you end up filing an insurance claim.

  4. Move valuables and electronics away from interior leak points

If water is coming in along a wall, ceiling, or window, get electronics, paper records, and porous furniture (rugs, upholstered pieces) out of the splash zone.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you actually come out for an emergency?
Same-day is rare but possible if you call before noon and we have a crew nearby — most of our truck routes run through Boise, Meridian, and Nampa daily. Same-week response (within 3 days) is realistic for most active-leak calls. Severe storms produce backlogs and we will be honest about timing when you call.
Do you work weekends?
We answer the phone Saturdays 9 AM to 3 PM and schedule on-site Saturday assessments. Sunday work is limited to true property-damage emergencies (active interior water, structural risk). Leave a voicemail Sunday and we will call you back at 8 AM Monday at the latest.
What about after-hours emergencies?
Our published hours are Mon–Fri 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM. After-hours calls roll to voicemail and we return them in order first thing the next business morning. If water is actively entering your home, your first call should be to your insurance carrier's 24-hour damage line — they can authorize emergency tarping faster than any contractor can roll a truck.
How much does an emergency repair cost vs. a scheduled one?
We do not run separate emergency-rate pricing. A re-secure or downspout reattachment is generally in the $200–$450 range; a section replacement is $400–$900; full re-hang of a long run is more. The price difference between “emergency” and “scheduled” is usually about route timing, not parts and labor. Run our cost calculator for a ranged estimate by service type.
Do you document storm damage for insurance?
Yes — we provide written assessments, photo documentation, and itemized quotes formatted for adjuster review. See our /insurance-claims page for what we do and do not do (we are not a public adjuster — we document accurately and let you and your insurer handle the claim).
