ESTIMATOR · BOISE & TREASURE VALLEY
Gutter Installation Cost Calculator in Boise & the Treasure Valley
Seamless gutter installation is priced per linear foot. The number depends on profile choice (5-inch K-style is standard, 6-inch and half-round cost more), downspout count and sizing, gauge, and whether your existing gutters need removal first.
Use the calculator below for a quick range, then see the cost drivers and example project profiles to calibrate the number against your specific home.

COST DRIVERS
What drives the cost of gutter installation.
Gutter installation is priced per linear foot, with adjustments for downspouts, profile (5" vs. 6" vs. half-round), and access (single vs. multi-story, complex rooflines). Our cost calculator gives a ranged per-foot estimate; the on-site visit produces a written quote with all components itemized.
Total linear footage
Per-foot pricing scales with the perimeter of your roof. Measured on-site — every eave run is added up against an accurate pitch reading.
Profile choice (5-inch vs 6-inch vs half-round)
5-inch K-style is standard. 6-inch oversized runs about 10–25% more per foot. Half-round runs 20–50% more depending on material.
Story count and roofline complexity
Two-story and complex hip/valley rooflines take longer to measure, form, and hang. Single-story ranches install fastest.
Downspout count and sizing
Downspouts are priced per drop. A larger 3×4 downspout costs more than a standard 2×3 but is sometimes the right call for steep-pitch or high-load runs.
Aluminum gauge
.027-gauge is standard. .032-gauge heavy-duty aluminum is recommended on Foothills homes and wide-eave properties — small per-foot premium but holds up under snow.
Color selection
Standard baked-on enamel colors (white, almond, brown, charcoal) have no upcharge. Custom-matched colors may add lead time and a small material cost.
Old gutter removal and disposal
Included in our quote, but homes with multiple gutter layers (uncommon, but it happens on additions) take longer to strip cleanly.
Fascia condition
Soft or punky fascia changes the fastener approach. We don't hang new gutters on bad fascia — if we find rot, we flag it before installing.
